The
Trainers at Transformation Yoga Center
|
| Cindy
Durack, M.A., R.Y.T.
Cindy’s
yoga journey began twelve years ago as part of an effort to
improve her posture and alleviate the pain of scoliosis. As
time passed, she became interested in other aspects of the
yogic lifestyle, including diet and spirituality, so she spent
a month doing seva at Kripalu, a yoga center
in Massachusetts, and this life-changing
experience convinced her to enroll in teacher training.
Her
250 hour certification is in Heaven Hatha Yoga, a traditional
Hatha system influenced by the contemporary Anusara style.
She has attended an Iyengar workshop for back care with Elise
Browning Miller, a prenatal workshop with Janice Clarfield,
as well as workshops in Yoga Nidra and the
Chakra system.
Being
primarily interested in the therapeutic value of yoga, Cindy
intends on continuing her learning with workshops and teacher
trainings geared towards women’s reproductive health
as well as yoga for seniors. |

In
April 2005, Christine followed a 100-hour
teacher training course under the guidance of Matéo
Madani. Her training was in Ashtanga yoga. She is now a Yoga
Alliance certified teacher, and has been teaching various
types of yoga part-time since September 2006: hatha
yoga, power yoga, corporate yoga and pre-natal yoga.
Christine
continues to build on her knowledge of yoga by attending various
workshops, including body alignment, anatomy of yoga, physiology
for yoga and the chakras. |

| Noelle
With
a young family at home, Noelle began practicing
yoga as a way to relax and unwind. It soon became apparent,
however, that yoga was a newfound passion. Noelle’s
yoga journey has included the practice and study of ayurvedic
yoga with Bita Bitajian, Shakta Kaur Khalsa’s Radiant
Child Yoga Program at Kripalu, and most recently, teacher
training in the style of Hatha/Vinyasa yoga in Victoria, B.C.
Noelle
believes that a powerful practice is a truthful practice and
is honoured to accompany her students on their own journey. |
