| It is not that
the individual must accommodate himself or herself to yoga
But rather that yoga must be tailored to suit each individual.

Ayur Yoga
Ayur
Yoga combines hatha yoga with the fundamental Principles of Ayurveda
(science of life in harmony with nature). Ayur Yoga raises our awareness
towards self, helping us to learn how we can adapt and tailor our
yoga practice according to our individual needs.
Ayur yoga uses yoga postures, pranayama (breathing exercises),
mantras, and mudras as therapeutic techniques, helping the individual
to overcome physical, mental and spiritual bondages. It works at
all levels of our beings (the five bodies or pancha kosha): Annamaya
kosha (physical body), Pranamaya kosha (energy body), manomaya kosha
(mental body), vijnamaya kosha (intellectual body), and annandamaya
kosha (blissful body).
Ayur yoga removes the mala (impurity), ama (toxins), and viksepa
(distraction of the mind) promoting absolute peace, health and happiness.

Yoga.
This approach is based on special sequencing of
postures and focusing on breath. As Pathabi Jois describe it ‘only
through practice one can taste the fruits of the yoga tree.

Tai Chi and Qi Gong (Chi Kung):
Both originate from Chinese ancient times. They both involve mild
exercises, which reinforce endurance, tone up muscles and joints
while energizing and balancing the mind.
Tai Chi is a series of choreographic actions, once memorized, they
become natural movements. Qi Gong is based on repetitive movements,
while remaining in one place, making it easy to follow. Tai Chi
and Qi Gong both help fight the daily stresses such as; physical
stress caused by driving in traffic, use of computers or simply
by leading sedentary lives. They are also beneficial for mental
stresses caused by overactive lives.

Little by little, through patience and repeated
effort,
The mind will become stilled in the self.
